Yousuf backs Wahab Riaz selection in World Cup squad.

Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has come in support of left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz and has backed the pacer's inclusion in Pakistan squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) 2019 World Cup.

While talking to media in Lahore, Yousuf highlighted the ability of Riaz with the old ball which can benefit the Pakistan team on English pitches.

'Wahab is exceptional with the old ball and his pace can be beneficial on the flat tracks of England,' said Yousuf. 'Wahab has also done well in domestic cricket and deserves a place in the World Cup squad.'

The 44-year-old was also optimistic about Pakistan's chances in the mega event.

'Pakistan has selected a good combination of senior players and youngsters, who can take them into the semi-finals of the World Cup.'
