US, UN condemn attack on Chinese consulate in Karachi.

The United States on Friday condemned the terrorist attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi and the bombing in Orakzai.

'The United States condemns in the strongest terms today's terrorist attacks in Orakzai and Karachi, Pakistan, which killed over 30 people and injured dozens more,' US Department of State spokesperson Heather Nauert stated.

The press release went on to add that the United States stands with the Pakistani people in the face of these terrorist acts, and will continue to seek opportunities to cooperate with the Pakistani government to combat these threats in the region

UN chief condemns terrorist attacks

United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres also condemned the terrorists' attacks on the Chinese consulate in Karachi and Kalaya bazaar in Orakzai, Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday.

In a statement, the spokesperson of the UN chief said that Secretary-General has expressed his deepest sympathies to the government and people of Pakistan over the incidents.

The UN secretary-general further expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
