Telenor Group seeks urgent policy reform.

ISLAMABAD -- Federal IT and Telecom Secretary Hassan Nasir Jamy has said that the government is taking vigorous steps to provide maximum facilities to the telecom sector.

During a meeting with Telenor Group Head of Asia Borre Furberg on Friday, the secretary said that caretaker IT Minister Dr Umar Saif had special interest in promoting the IT and telecom sector in the country.

He pointed out that the recently approved infrastructure-sharing framework and the proposed spectrum-sharing mechanism were important milestones that would reduce operational costs of telecom operators.
