SC indicts PTI's Amir Liaquat Hussain for contempt.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Amir Liaquat Hussain was indicted by the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday for contempt of court.

The PTI leader pleaded not guilty, however, the apex court maintained that the politician had violated the code of conduct.

A two-member bench presided by justice Ijazul Ahsan presided the hearing.

The unconditional apology by Amir was rejected by the court and he was charged under Article 204 (3) of the Constitution.

The defence counsel's argument that his client had submitted an unconditional apology to the court was not entertained.
