PTV corruption case: Shahid Masood challenges earlier verdict in IHC.

ISLAMABAD -- Former Pakistan Television (PTV) managing director Shahid Masood on Tuesday challenged an earlier verdict in the PTV corruption case in the federal capital's high court on Tuesday.

IHC Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani presided the hearing during which the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued notices to the government and summoned a response.

The defence argued that the April 25 verdict of the trial court be annulled as 'legal requirements were not considered while dismissing the acquittal plea'.

'The accused has already returned the embezzled amount.'

The court then adjourned the hearing of the case till July 4.
