President: (Govt committed to protect women rights: President).

ISLAMABAD -- President Dr Arif Alvi has said that provision of basic rights, including right of inheritance, to women is part of PTI government's vision of transforming Pakistan into a welfare Islamic state.

In a Radio interview, the President said the present government is committed to protecting women rights and curb gender-based violence in the country.

Highlighting counter-terrorism efforts of the present government, he said that international community fully acknowledges Pakistan's role as a front line state in the fight against terrorism.
