PR and politicians.

THIS is with reference to the letter 'Pakis- tan Railways should do better' (Feb 17) which raised doubts about the capacity of the railway officers. I had appeared in Central Superior Services (CSS) examination in 1982 and had opted for Pakistan Railways, retiring in 2012 as an additional general manager (traffic). It is my considered opinion that officers can serve the organisation better if their efforts are not compromised by the raw ministers and bullying politi-cians who exploit a system stated to be state-owned.
