Post-Indian election: FM Qureshi seeks engagement with New Delhi for 'regional stability'.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has called upon India to come to the negotiating table and engage Pakistan for the sake of regional peace after the new government takes office in New Delhi following the Indian general election, Radio Pakistan reported.

Speaking on Pakistan Television, he said that 'war has always brought destruction and cannot be considered as an option, particularly when both the countries are nuclear powers.'

The minister regretted that Kashmir was burning as India is trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris through military presence and its black laws.
