PML-N announces boycott of Punjab Assembly.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) decided on Friday to boycott sessions of the Punjab Assembly until its suspended members are reinstated, Express News reported.

Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi had suspended the entry of six PML-N lawmakers following a brawl between the opposition and government benches during the budget session on October 16.

The members, Mohammad Ashraf Rasool, Mohammad Waheed, Yasin Amir, Mirza Javed, Zaibunnisa and Tariq Maseeh, were also sent show-cause notices.

The lawmakers, led by opposition leader Hamza Shehbaz, staged a protest outside the assembly and criticised the provincial assembly speaker.
