Pakistan urges UK to play its role in resolving Kashmir dispute.

Islamabad -- Pakistan has urged the United Kingdom to play its role in the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, said a statement issued by Foreign Office (FO) on Wednesday.

In a telephonic conversation with British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi appraised his British counterpart on the grave human rights violations carried out by Indian security forces in occupied Kashmir.

According to the FO statement, the British foreign secretary was briefed on the evolving security situation of the region by FM Qureshi.

The foreign minister also shared Pakistan's concerns with regard to the latest developments in the Persian Gulf region, which carried serious implications for the peace and security as well as world economy.
