Pakistan, China explore investment avenues.

ISLAMABAD -- Federal Minister of Commerce Dr Gohar Ejaz held a series of highly productive meetings with prominent Chinese business leaders and investment groups on the sidelines of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum in Beijing.

These meetings were aimed at strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and China and exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan, according to a statement issued on Saturday.

Ejaz met China-Pakistan (Qingdao) International Cooperation Hub Director Wang Zihai, where discussions centered on investment opportunities in Pakistan, including the areas such as civilian and defence equipment, lithium batteries for electric vehicles, solar panels and semi-conductors.

The role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in facilitating investments was a key point of conversation.

In his meeting with Eman Logistics Chairperson Li Yiman, the focus was on expanding Pakistan's presence on Chinese digital platforms.
