The Sindh Assembly demanded a separate quota for the players belonging to their province in the Pakistan National team.

A member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Mohammad Hussain moved a resolution in the house on Tuesday, calling for the inclusion of at least six Sindh players in every Pakistan squad along with the reinstatement of wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed as Men in Green's skipper.

Sarfaraz was removed as Pakistan's captain from all formats after the Men in Green were clean swept by Sri Lanka three-nil in the recently-concluded Twenty20 International (T20I) series in Lahore.
