(METROPOLITAN) Several illegal water hydrants sealed, demolished in Karachi.

KARACHI -- In an operation conducted by Sindh Rangers in the urban precincts of Karachi's Baldia Town and Manghopir areas, several illegal water hydrants were sealed and demolished, according to a report on Saturday.

The operation unearthed a cache of water pumps, electric motors, pipes, and electrical wiring associated with these unauthorized facilities, which were also seized.

This targeted operation spanned various locales, encompassing Sector 12 of Baldia Town, Ramzan Goth, Manghopir B, and Sadaat Chowk within the city. It marks a pivotal development in the ongoing efforts of the Rangers, which have thus far razed 109 illegal hydrants and apprehended 241 individuals implicated in these unlawful activities.

The Rangers underscored their unwavering commitment to this mission, affirming their determination to persist until every vestige of such illicit hydrants is eradicated from the urban landscape of Karachi. This action reflects a broader initiative to uphold the rule of law and ensure the orderly functioning of the city.
