(METROPOLITAN) Adiala Jail superintendent to brief court on Imran's security.

ISLAMABAD -- Chief Justice (CJ) of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Aamer Farooq on Wednesday said that he would summon Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail superintendent to brief him about the steps he had taken for the provision of security to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan as well as the facilities provided to him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the hearing of PTI chairman's wife Bushra Bibi's petition, seeking security for her husband in the Adiala Jail, the CJ said after giving an order, he would then again take up the case for hearing in the next week.

Sardar Latif Khosa Advocate, counsel for Bushra, said that since just like was the case with another former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Imran's sentence in the Toshakhana reference had been suspended; therefore, it was requested that both former prime ministers should be treated alike.
