Ex-Sindh governor's brother Amirul Ebad arrested in Karachi.

Amirul Ebad, the brother of former Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, was arrested in Karachi early on Friday morning.

According to Express News, he was arrested by a team of the City Courts Investigation Police over a complaint regarding a bounced cheque.

Interestingly, the complaint pertaining to a cheque of Rs500,000 was filed by Tariq Niazi, the lawyer of the former Sindh governor.

The development comes weeks after Amir held a press conference in Karachi wherein he accused Ishrat of issuing death threats to him over a property dispute.

Speaking to media in Karachi on May 1, Amir said Ishrat, Israrul Ibad and Waqarul Ibad were trying to intimidate him over the issue of a plot in Block 14 of Federal B Area.
