Army colonel embraces martyrdom in DI Khan security operation.

ISLAMABAD -- A Pakistan Army colonel embraced martyrdom and two terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in DI Khan on Monday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military's media wing said security forces foiled a major terrorist attack during the security operation near Tank.

Security forces killed two high-value terrorists during the operation.

'As soon as troops cordoned the area, terrorists opened fire. During the operation two terrorists (high-value targets) killed,' the ISPR stated without giving further details of the terrorists killed.

During the exchange of fire, Colonel Mujeeb ur Rehman embraced martyrdom.

ISPR further added that during the sanitization operation, a large cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist hideout.
