Youth commits suicide after wounding woman.

KARACHI -- A young man shot at and wounded a young woman before killing himself in Lines Areas on Tuesday, police said.

They added that a young woman and a man were found lying wounded on the service road along a bus terminal near M.A. Jinnah Road minutes after local people heard multiple gunshots.

'Initially it was not clear what happened that led to serious gun wounds to both the [victims],' said a police official. 'The wounded couple was immediately taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where the man died while the woman was moved to the operating theatre for surgery. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Malik Shahzeb, who hailed from Chakwal, while the wounded woman was identified as 25-year-old Aiman, who worked as a hostess at one of the intercity transport companies.'
