Webinar: 100 Years of Communist Party of China: Views from Globe.

Friends of BRI Forum- an initiative by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies organized a special webinar on "100 Years of Communist Party of China: Views from the Globe" on Friday to develop awareness on the achievements of CPC in the past century China through the experiences and analysis of experts. The speakers of the Webinar shared their views about the miraculous developments and progress in China under party leadership. Panelists from different parts of the world joined and shared their outlook on the national, regional, and global accomplishments of China. While moderating the session, Farhat Asif, the President of the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) highlighted the aims and objectives of the Friends of BRI Forum.

A special congratulatory message from Ms. Zheng Wei, Secretary-General, The Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Committee (GNFCC) of SCO was read at the start of the webinar who had presented compliments to IPDS on the behalf of GNFCC and SCO. Pang Chunxue, the MinisterCounselor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Pakistan, went on to tell how the centenary of the Chinese Communist Party is significant for itself and the Chinese nation. Explaining the rise of CPC to glory, she stated that the party has a three-pronged people-centered approach: first rely on the people, second for the people, and third rooted in the people. Moreover, CPC not only seeks happiness for the Chinese people but also strives for the cause of human progress.

Ending her presentation, Chunxue commented that CPC also attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Pakistani political parties and people from all walks of life, and would like to work together with all stakeholders to build a closer China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future in the new era. Tao Tao, Deputy Secretary-general of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament narrated the historical details of the People's Republic of China and CPC. During the past hundred years, CPC had successfully united its people by accomplishing and promoting four goals i.e. revolution, construction, reform, and rejuvenation. He recalled the history under CPC dividing it into four parts: the first era of the new democratic revolution, the second era of socialist revolution and construction, the third era of reform and socialist modernization, and the fourth and last era of self-confidence, self-reliance, and innovation.
