WCLA announces online art competition.

LAHORE -- Like most of the cultural institutions holding visual art exhibitions and competitions online owing to Covid-19 pandemic, the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has also announced its first online painting competition on the theme, Walled City of Lahore, with the slogan of 'Paint, Participate and Win'.

The first prize of the contest is Rs25,000, second Rs15,000 and third Rs10,000. The submissions are free of cost. The idea of the painting/drawing can be shared with the WCLA till June 30th and their subject may include the street life, culture, monuments, architecture etc only of the Walled City of Lahore. The concept of the drawing/painting should be shared with the WCLA till 30th via the email walledcitylahoreauthority@gmail.com. No entry shall be entertained if the idea is not approved by the WCLA after its proper submission. Amateurs and professional painters/artistes not below the age of 18 can participate in it.

The WCLA has announced the competition through social media. According to the terms and conditions, the reference for a drawing/painting may be taken from any picture (this will be acceptable).
