Us Diesel Engine Manufacturer to Open A Mongolian Branch this Month

Steve Rose, the general manager of Cummins Mongolia Investment LLC, met with Ulaanbaatar Mayor E.Bat-Uul on March 11 to talk about the opening of a branch office for the U.S.-based diesel engine manufacturing company in Ulaanbaatar on March 25.

During the meeting, Rose highlighted that Cummins made profit of 19 billion USD last year despite global economic difficulties. Mayor E.Bat-Uul said that he is pleased that Cummins is opening a branch in Mongolia and promised to attend the opening ceremony.

"I am happy with the opportunity to collaborate with one of the top companies in the world. To be frank, our public transportion's conditions are not as good as we want them to be. We have been putting much effort into improving the public transportation system. In the commitment, we can work with [Cummins] and national Ecology Bus LLC on [public transportation] park renovations," the Mayor said.
