Unveiling Swat Valley and Uddiyana: A Cultural Symposium and Photo Exhibition at Tsinghua University.

An international symposium and captivating photo exhibition, dedicated to the exploration of Swat Valley and Uddiyana, took place at Tsinghua University, China on August 24. Distinguished attendees at the event included Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque; Liu Jingsong, Director General of the Department of Asian Affairs at the Chinese Foreign Ministry; Peng Gang, Vice President of Tsinghua University; senior officials from the Pakistan Embassy and Tsinghua University; and students. This enlightening event was orchestrated by the Center for Pakistan Culture and Communication Studies, situated at Tsinghua University.

During the opening ceremony, Vice President Peng Gang underscored the significance of comprehending the historical and cultural context of the greater Gandhara region. He emphasized that this understanding could strengthen the cultural, religious, trade, and diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan while garnering international support for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Moreover, it could rejuvenate the historical economic and cultural corridor across the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hind Kush. He also lauded the efforts of the Pakistan Study Center at Tsinghua University in fostering an understanding of the civilizations of Pakistan and China and their interconnections.

This annual symposium serves as a platform for cultural exchanges between the two nations and bolsters cross-civilization and cross-cultural dialogues.
