Universal Policy to be introduced in Punjab: E&T Minister.

SIALKOT: Provincial Excise and Taxation Minister Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad said that Excise and Taxation department had prepared a well-knitted plan for introducing mobile phone Application to facilitate the taxpayers.

Talking to the media, citizens and exporters on last evening, he said that through the system, taxpayers could easily pay their taxes from their homes instead of challan forms and the new system would reduce problems of the taxpayers in the province.

The Minister disclosed that the government would soon evolve a 'Universal Policy' under which same number plates would be issued to all vehicles in the Punjab while new security system would soon be installed at all Toll Plazas for monitoring tax defaulter vehicles.

The new mode would replace the 'Naka System' for checking the token on roads while help in weeding out the chances of tax eroding in the Punjab, the Minister said.
