Unicef's country chief visits learning centre.

QUETTA -- Unicef's Country Chief Aida Girma, along with her team members, visited the Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) Centre in Wahdat Colony on Monday and met children studying there. She also visited the centre's computer lab.

On the occasion, Unicef Balochistan's Education Specialist Palwasha Jalalzai gave a detailed briefing to the delegation on ALP centres.

She said the centres had been set up in different districts of Balochistan, in collaboration with Unicef and the Education Department of Balochistan, where free education facilities were being provided to school dropouts and children belonging to poor families of the province.
