Two shot, injured by robbers in capital.

ISLAMABAD -- Armed men shot and injured two persons after making them hostage in separate incidents, including one near the office of the inspector general of police (IGP), police said on Thursday.

The injured was identified as Amjad Ali, a driver by profession.

Two persons booked his pickup on pretext of shifting household items from a house near H-11 graveyard to Chungi No 26. One of them called someone and asked him to get ready when they reached at a traffic signal near Police Lines Headquarters, housing the IGP office.

The man asked the driver to stop when they reached the graveyard turn as he wanted to attend a call of nature, and disembarked from the pickup. On suspicious, Aimal Khan tired to speed up the vehicle, but the attempt was foiled by the culprits who made him hostage in his vehicle at gunpoint.

The robbers tied him and one of them drove the vehicle towards Nescom, but...
