Two more power feeders planned for Mansehra.

MANSEHRA -- The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has planned two more power feeders for Mansehra to address power outages and low voltage in the city and adjoining areas.

Currently, Mansehra has three power feeders.

Pesco superintendent engineer Waseem Abbas told an open kutcheri here on Saturday that the government had sanctioned Rs2 billion for installation of two power feeders.

'Work on one feeder is complete, while work on the other will begin on Nov 1,' he said. The residents complained to him about low voltage, excessive power cuts, long delay in the installation of power meters, and inflated bills.

The superintendent engineer said the Pesco had installed Rs440 million power transformers in three feeders of Mansehra city and its suburbs and removed 85 per cent old wires for smooth electric supply.

He said the company had also begun one-window operation for the speedy installation of power meters.

'We have tangibly reduced line losses and the people will get relief in utility bills,' he said.
