Two married women commit suicide.

KARACHI -- Two young married women committed suicide in the metropolis in different areas, police and rescue sources said on Thursday.

Shaista, 28, ended her life in Azizabad on Thursday evening by hanging herself from a ceiling fan.

Azizabad Station House Officer (SHO) Haji Sanaullah said she was the mother of two children, three and eight. The family had shifted to a small flat on rent in Meena Bazaar at Karimabad around four months ago.

Her husband Qamar Awan was not home at the time of the incident. Neighbours saw her body hanging while her daughter, 8, was asleep in a room.
