Two escape drowning in 'well of negligence'.

RAHIM YAR KHAN -- Two persons who fell into a well dug by a contractor at bypass on Thursday night were rescued by passersby.

The jeep of the two employees of Shaikh Zayed's Abu Dhabi Palace fell into a 20-foot hole, which they could not notice due to heavy dust storm and rain. The contractor had dug it to repair the main sewer line near Thali Chowk on bypass road.

Neither the municipal corporation employees nor the contractor, however, installed any warning sign on the busiest bypass road to avoid any eventuality.
