Two cops arrest for illegally holding hostage a citizen and demanding ransom money.

SHIKARPUR -- Police Chief Shikarpur Muhammad Rizwan Ahmed Khan directed to lodge an FIR against two police personnel for illegally holding hostage a citizen and demanding ransom money, here on Thursday. Nasim Bukhari, an official, told this scribe that on the directives issued by SSP Shikarpur a raid carried out by SHO New Faujdari Abdul Rasheed Lodhi, who completed his task and arrested two cops named Ashique Hussain Soomro and Jamil Ahmed Odho, deputed at CIA centre Shikarpur, and released a citizen named Raja Chandio from their possession and lodged a case [170/2019] under section 220, 342, 384, 511 and 34 PPC at New Faujdari Police Station on the complaint of Raja Chandio, a resident of village Rasool Bux Chandio of Shikarpur district.
