Two brothers killed over land dispute in Lakki.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Rivals gunned down two brothers and injured a third one over a land dispute in Manjiwala locality here on Monday.

Police said the attackers ambushed Kamal and his brother, Abdul Qadoos, killing them on the spot. Another brother of the deceased was critically injured in the attack.

They said the police raided a suspected hideout in search of the attackers soon after the incident and arrested one of their accomplices, Sanaullah, in injured condition after exchange of fire.

The cops also seized two rifles and bullets from the place.

Complainant Abdul Hameed told police that his brothers were attacked by rivals, Ghulam and Liaqat, when he along with them was returning home from Qazi Dheri Kilay on motorcycles. He said the attackers escaped on a motorcycle.

The bodies and the injured, Azizullah, were shifted to a hospital in Naurang town.

The complainant said his wounded brother was later referred to a Bannu hospital in critical condition.

Police registered a case against the killers.

PROTEST AGAINST DOCTORS: Patients and their relatives closed Lakki-Tajazai Road on Monday to protest absence of doctors and paramedics in the district headquarters hospital, Tajazai.

Health providers left the hospital on Monday morning to take part in a protest demonstration and attend a press conference in the Lakki city against the 'manhandling' of a colleague by the police. It irked the patients and their attendants, who gathered on the road in front of the hospital.
