Traders to adopt precautions: ICCI.

ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has welcomed the reopening of businesses after more than a month of strict lockdown and announced that the traders and the merchants of the federal capital would abide by the official standard operating procedure (SOPs).

In a meeting of the ICCI members here on Monday the trading community welcomed the decision as it would help in reducing their difficulties and facilitating people in doing required shopping, and except for the hair salons and beauty parlours, shops and showrooms of all sectors operated from 8am to 5pm.

Chairing the meeting of ICCI Senior Vice President Tahir Abbasi said the government had accepted the demand of traders for reopening of shops and markets, and it was the responsibility of traders to ensure full compliance and implementation of laid out SOPs for businesses.

'The government has allowed reopening of shops and markets to save us from further business loss but we need to obey the rules,' he said.
