Tokyo's Nikkei index closes higher.

Tokyo's Nikkei index ended higher on Monday as investors looked for fresh trading clues while markets assessed the implications of a solid jobs report for US monetary policy. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fluctuated through the day before ending up 0.15 percent, or 42.50 points, at 27,820.40, while the broader Topix index slipped 0.31 percent, or 6.08 points, to 1,947.90. The market lacked a clear sense of direction after a mixed close on Wall Street, and ahead of the release of US inflation data and a Federal Reserve meeting next week...
