Three filling stations sealed in Lakki over profiteering.

LAKKI MARWAT -- The district administration on Saturday sealed three filling stations for profiteering and selling substandard oil products.

The action was initiated on the directions of deputy commissioner Jehangir Azam Wazir after receipt of complaints about sale of substandard oil products and violation of pricelist, said an official.

A team headed by additional assistant commissioner Najibullah Khan paid surprise inspection visits to several filling stations in Lakki town where he checked the gauge and availability of rate list. He sealed three stations for tempering with gauge and overcharging the motorists.

GAMES TRIALS: A large number of youths swarmed the Lt Adnan Shaheed Sports Complex in Tajazai on Saturday to take part in the trials to be selected for the tehsil and district teams U-21 games.

The district sports department in collaboration with the education department organised the trials. District sports officer Adil Shah along with the education officials watched the trails and supervised the process of team selection.

On the occasion, the officials said the mass participation of student players in trials for U-21 games was encouraging. They said schools played a vital role in promotion of the games at the grassroots level.
