The policy of Neutrality of our esteemed President is a solid foundation of our country's international relations in the world and is highly valued by the world community. Based on the status of permanent neutrality, Turkmenistan is actively developing such directions of its foreign policy as energy, transport, ecology, culture and water diplomacy. As the distinguished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized: "The unique new situation of Neutrality requires further development. It is necessary to carry out systematic work to improve the scientific and practical base of the principles of Neutrality and their practical application in international affairs".

Under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, our united people are going to one of the brightest and most important holidays - the 25th anniversary of our permanent Neutrality December 12, 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the acquisition of for the first time in the history of our beloved country the international legal status - Permanent Neutrality. That is why this year is under the slogan "Turkmenistan is a country of neutrality". To mark this milestone, our esteemed President has announced a number of planned events in major international organizations and countries that are close partners of our country.

All events are reflected in the achievements of our country, fruitful international cooperation, based on the principles of good neighborliness, peace, positive neutrality. Our Independent and permanently Neutral country has the United Nations Development Program (UN), the Children's Fund, the Population Fund, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Labor Organization and others, development cooperation with which great attention is paid. Turkmenistan was elected vicepresident of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. 2020 has become a special year for Turkmenistan and the UN.
