Adding another feather in its cap, the Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) is proud to announce another free-of-cost service to its wide range of health facilities at its Korangi Campus. The Indus Hospital (TIH), Korangi Campus will be offering 'Peritoneal Dialysis' service also known as a home dialysis solution. At the moment, IHHN boasts an 8 bed dialysis set-up at the Korangi Campus and a 20-bed dedicated dialysis facility at PIB Colony - Fakir Trust Campus.

Both - the Fakir Trust Campus and TIH offer hemodialysis service, however, TIH will now be offering Peritoneal Dialysis. Peritoneal Dialysis is done by instilling a cleansing fluid (called dialysate) through a tube (catheter) inside a patient's abdominal cavity (peritoneal cavity). This dialysate absorbs waste products from blood vessels in the abdominal lining (peritoneum) and then is drawn back out of the body and discarded.
