Teleschool feedback initiative launched.

ISLAMABAD -- The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Wednesday launched a two-way feedback mechanism for Teleschool initiative to get public input regarding the online content.

According to education ministry, a special SMS service 8228 has been introduced in collaboration with the Federal Education Ministry, Digital Pakistan, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) and telecommunication companies.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood emphasized the need for meaningful engagement with students and parents to make Teleschool initiative a success.

'This feedback mechanism is important to gauge success of the initiative, improving content and to have a basic level of learning assessment,' he said, and outlined the opportunities in post-Covid world for transformation of education system through innovative solutions like Teleschool, eTaleem portal and other platforms to be available for public very soon.

The ceremony was attended by Tania Adrus of digital Pakistan and experts from the ministry and other stakeholders.

After the meeting, the Joint Secretary Education Syed Umair Javed, who also attended the ceremony, told Dawn that soft launching of the SMS service has been made.

He said the ministry would ask question to people through SMS to get their feedback about the TeleSchool and its content.
