Talk on Cyprus Issue: implications for peacebuilding in the region.

Talk on "Cyprus issue: implications for peacebuilding in the region" were organized by Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNC Representative office, Islamabad, Riphah Institute of Public policy and by Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies Islamabad (IPDS). Event was attended by the Foreign Minister of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Tahsin ErtuAruloAlu on the side lines of the 48th session of Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC. Speaking at the talk Foreign Minister Tahsin ErtuAruloAlu remarked that World should shun its double standards and begin to act logically and in a just manner to resolve the issue of Cyprus.

There is a need for the world to understand and realize the sensitivities of the ideals and aspirations of the people of TRNC. According to Foreign Minister Tahsin ErtuAruloAlu OIC has member countries that have their interests, and there is a lack of drive within the organization to resolve the issue of Cyprus.
