Suspected killer escapes from Haripur court.

HARIPUR -- A man charged with killing a former councillor escaped from the court's premises after the cancellation of his pre-arrest bail.

The FIR registered by the Khalabat Township police quoted complainant Syed Javed Shah as claiming he and his friends were attacked by four gunmen, including former village council nazim Asim Shah, Qaiser, Shehzad and Mazhar Shah, near Dari Chowk in Khalabat Township on Oct 7 night.

The firing killed Haji Tanveer, a former councillor of Soka Pandak village council.

A dispute was reported to be the cause of firing.

Following the registration of an FIR by the police, the accused obtained pre-arrest bail from a local court but it was cancelled on Saturday.

The police arrested three accused, while Asif Shah escaped from the court's premises.
