SUP holds demos against Sehwan RO over 'partiality'.

DADU -- The Sindh United Party (SUP) on Sunday continued its protest against Sehwan assistant commissioner and Returning Officer (RO) for his alleged partisan role to favour the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party by rejecting nomination papers of four SUP candidates in the upcoming local government elections.

It also demanded withdrawal of a 'fake' case against 80 party leaders and activists, including its senior vice president Roshan Ali Buriro, at the Sehwan police station a day earlier.

The SUP men were booked on a complaint lodged by a naib qasid of the AC's office, Abdul Hameed Jaheja, that they intruded in the office, humiliated him and other staff and disturbed them in discharging their duties relating to the local government elections.

Later, Mr Buriro and 19 other SUP men were granted bail in a sum of Rs50,000 each by a local court.

On Sunday, large groups of SUP activists held protest demonstrations outside the office of Sehwan AC, Abdul Rahim Qureshi, and demanded his removal. They also called for withdrawal of the case and acceptance of valid nomination papers of all candidates contesting against those of the ruling PPP.
