Strong rain bearing system to persist till Sunday.

KARACHI -- A strong rain bearing system is affecting upper, western and southern parts of the country and may persist till Sunday. Rain and thunderstorm with snowfall over hills and windstorm is expected at scattered places in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and also at isolated places in Malakand, Mardan, Sargodha, and Lahore divisions. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country. During the past 24 hours, widespread rain thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills occurred in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Islamabad.
