Strike in Dalbandin against govt plan to demolish markets, hospital, schools.

CHAGAI -- A shutter-down strike was observed by people and traders here on Tuesday and all shops and markets remained closed in protest against the government plan to demolish shops and houses under a reconstruction plan of the government for Dalbandin.

The call for the strike was given by former provincial minister Sakhi Amanullah and traders of the area.

Some hotels, vegetable shops, tandoors, and medical stores were, however, allowed to stay open during the strike to serve needs of the people.
