Solar energy project reviewed.

LAHORE -- South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary retired Capt Saqib Zafar on Thursday reviewed progress on installation of Rs240m solar energy system project at the Secretariat.

He was chairing a meeting to review the progress on the building of Civil Secretariat South Punjab in Multan.

The secretaries of various departments, including services, planning and development (P and D) and Board of Revenue, were present besides the officials of the Multan Electric Supply Company (Mepco) and Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab.

Mr Zafar said Rs1bn had been spent on construction of south Punjab Secretariat so far and it would be shifted to the solar energy.

He said Rs240m would be spent to install solar energy system at the secretariat.
