Social development impossible without empowering women: CM.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has said women play crucial role in development of society. In a meeting with women members of KP Assembly at the CM Secretariat, Mehmood Khan said the Pakistan Tehreeke-Insaf (PTI) government under its manifesto has taken visible steps for welfare of women. He said special emphasis has been given to encouraging women to move forward in the field of education, trade and commerce and overall development process. He said the establishment of Women University in Swabi and Cadet College for Women speaks volumes about the government's commitment to women development. He said the Cadet College for Women is a unique and first of its kind institution in Pakistan.

He said the government is committed to give peaceful and enabling environment to women to utilize their talent and capabilities to make them useful citizens of the country.
