Social activists granted pre-arrest bail.

PESHAWAR -- A local court here on Wednesday granted interim pre-arrest bail to two known female social activists charged with sedition by local police on account of staging a demonstration early this year.

The court of additional district and sessions judge, Nasrullah Khan, ordered the two petitioners, Ms Jamila Gillani, a former MNA, and Ms Sana Ijaz, to furnish two sureties of Rs8, each.

The court fixed July 4 for further proceedings on their respective pre-arrest bail petitions and also issued notices to the government.
