ISLAMABAD -- Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq has questioned the shooting up of the flour prices to unprecedented level across the country if the government is true in its claim that the crisis is artificial.

The unavailability of the basic food commodity in all major cities, he said while talking to the parliamentary reporters after attending the Senate Session on Tuesday, was another proof of government mismanagement and lack of planning.

'The masses are the ultimate victims of this overall mess. Issues of inflation, unemployment and poverty grip the country badly.' He said the PTI regime was failed to fulfill a single promise it made with the people during the election campaign. Referring to the prime minister statement that his salary was meager to run his house expenditure, he said Imran Khan's declaration was a proof of his defeat. The PM, he said, must think for a moment that how those millions of people could be able to meet their both ends who lost their jobs and businesses due to flawed economic policies of his government.
