Established in 1998, SINA's mission is to make quality primary healthcare affordable and accessible. Primary healthcare is the first line of defense against illness that manifest into life-threatening diseases, which can not only debilitate a person's quality of life but can have lasting effects on their livelihood and families. In addition, communities that have easy access to primary healthcare are proven to thrive, and reduce strain on government resources such as hospitals and emergency rooms.With this mission in mind, in the past 24 years, SINA has expanded from one clinic to thirty-three clinics. All our clinics are located in slums of Karachi, in over 22 union councils, places often overlooked due to their distance from the city's epicenter. However, these slum areas are home to over 40% of the city's population, an exorbitant number of whom are living below the poverty line, often not having enough money for food.
