Shujaat asks govt to keep focus on public relief.

LAHORE -- President Pakistan Muslim League (PML)-Q Ch Shujaat Hussain Sunday asked the government to keep focus on providing relief to the masses while letting the opposition do its work.

'It is Opposition's job to criticize the government. The rulers should give priority to providing relief to the people', he said while talking to Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Brigadier(Retd) Ejaz Shah who called on him and Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi on Sunday.

MNA Ch Moonis Elahi was also present as they exchanged views about the prevailing national political situation. The PML-Q President stressed that it was imperative under the present circumstances to ameliorate the lot of the common man. Shujaat also reiterated his earlier stance that the mega projects should be shelved for sometime and relief be provided to the people.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi said that PML was an ally of Tehrik-e-Insaaf will participate in the Senate election under an effective strategy.

He also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was striving to carry forward the national affairs appreciably.

Exchanging views, MNA Moonis Elahi said that India had been exposed at the international level. 'Modi's Pulwama drama has been unfolded before the world', he said.

Ejaz Shah inquired after the health of Ch Shujaat Hussain and expressed good wishes for him.
