Sherpao for joint efforts to improve economy.

PESHAWAR -- Qaumi Watan Party chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has expressed his serious concern over the prevailing financial crisis and urged all the political forces to work together in order to bring the country out of the economic chaos.

He was addressing a gathering of his party office-bearers and workers from Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas districts here on Saturday. On this occasion, workers of different political parties from these areas led by Jahanzeb Khan of PML-N and Mian Gul of PTI also announced to join QWP.

Mr Sherpaoasked the government and the opposition to set aside their differences and join hands to address the challenges being faced by the country. He said that political stability was necessary to improve the economic position of the country.

He said that holding early elections would not address the prevailing crises. Rejecting the demand of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders for fresh elections, he said the Pakistan Democratic Movement-led government would complete the remaining tenure and the elections would take place in the due course of time.
