SHC seeks reports from home dept, DG FIA in missing persons case.

KARACHI -- The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday sought a report from the federal home ministry and Director General (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) pertaining to the recovery of missing persons. A high court bench headed by Justice Naimtullah Phulapoto heard a set of petitions filed by families of missing persons for recovery of their beloved ones. The court expressed anger at the police and home department for not forming a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) despite its orders. The court summoned the secretary of the home department. 'We had ordered for the monthly formation of JIT to trace the missing persons but the relevant authorities have dishonoured the court orders,' Justice Naimat Phulapoto remarked.
