Seven FC men martyred in Harnai terrorist attack.

QUETTA -- At least seven security personnel have been martyred in an attack by terrorists on a Frontier Corps check post in the areas of Sharag coal mines in Balochistan's Harnai district.

A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the incident happened on Saturday night. 'Heavy exchange of fire took place between FC personnel and terrorists, during which seven brave soldiers, including a Naib Subedar, embraced Shahadat while repulsing raiding terrorists,' said the ISPR.

The security personnel later cordoned off the area and blocked escape routes in an effort to apprehend the fleeing miscreants, said the statement.

'A large-scale search and clearance operation is in progress,' it said, adding that 'such cowardly acts by inimical elements backed by anti-state forces will not be allowed to sabotage hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan. Security forces are determined to thwart their nefarious designs at all costs'.
