Services of Ajmal Khattak for Pakhtuns' rights remembered.

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party remembered the revolutionary poet and politician, Ajmal Khattak, on his ninth death anniversary at a function held in ANP's provincial secretariat Bacha Khan Markaz here on Thursday.

The party also organised a literary gathering at the mausoleum of Ajmal Khattak in his hometown Nowshera, which was attended by ANP general secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain.

ANP's provincial president Amir Haider Khan Hoti paid tribute Ajmal Khattak as a poet and politician who made sacrifices for the rights of Pakhtuns. He said that he had close relations with Mr Khattak who would be remembered by all Pakhtuns.

Mr Hoti also spoke on current issues and pointed out that some institutions were working against the share of provinces in NFC award, which would damage the federation.

He said that ANP had demanded increase in the province's share in NFC award to rid Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of the sense of deprivation. He said that the erstwhile Fata was also merged with KP and the situation...
